The Cecchetti syllabus special training program is ‘invitation only’ for students that meet the requirements and demands outlined by the Cecchetti Society of Canada. An assessment may be scheduled with a teacher to see if a child is a good candidate for the program and if the syllabus is the right fit for them.

Program Overview
Students accepted into the syllabus are expected to participate in the required weekly classes unless otherwise approved by the teacher. Failure to do so may result in removal from the program or inability to participate in the exam. Students accepted into the syllabus are expected to participate in annual workshops and exams which are held in the spring. Not all students may be offered the opportunity to complete their exam and if so a letter will be sent home with areas that need improvement. If a student does not successfully attain their certificate upon completion of the exam they must repeat the examination for that grade level before moving to the next grade level. If a student takes their presentation exam or does not complete their exam, for whatever reason, it is up to teacher discretion as to the level for the following year.
